Scalex are mostly known for 1/35 wheel sets, they've also done some kits of UGV's and a whiffy FCM 50t tank.

This one is a bit of a departure, a  3D printed 1/16 Burrell 1901 steam engine 'Old Duch', available in June. Limited to 500 kits, and is planned to be released in 1/35 at a later date.

Same in 1/35, too, really.

Watching traction engines in action close up and personal is a hoot,
especially when it's running a thresher via a big ol' belt.

You don't need to go steampunk on that machine! It is steampunk!

All built up it would be a great display cabinet addition.

Agreed. I used to love going to the annual traction engine fair in Battersea Park when I was a kid. I swear they are living creatures  ;D

Don't get stuck behind one in a narrow country lane though

I've got fond memories of taking my girls when small to a country fair and lifting them to see it, along with the calliope it was driving.

Getting twin toddlers into the car was not quick with all the distractions and it beat us out the car park.  :banghead:

Will it come with a link to a downloadable .wav file of a Yorkshire farmer
extolling the virtues of his engine?
