It took me quite a while before I was happy to drill the holes. A propelling pencil came in handy as you can extend the lead so that it's long enough to poke through the hole to mark the spot on the matching face to be drilled.

Now I'm back from :-\  my Scottish road trip round Speyside (stunning scenery and lots of distillery's  :mellow: ) I can resume work on the Skyferret. As is supposed to be a Day/Night fighter, I have been musing on the camouflage scheme. FAA schemes for 1946 appear to be Extra Dark Sea Grey/Dark Slate Grey uppers with Sky lower surfaces, but the sky seems a little bright for operations after dark. I think I will go with Dark Sea Grey for the lower surfaces- after all the white on the circle and bars insignia are going to stick out like a sore thumb anyway :-\
