A topside camouflage that from above looks like wakes?

Different sizes of wakes to throw off easy identifiers in regards to size of the vessel.
Maybe even apply it to the tops of the tanks.

Nothing to add anything but the USN insists the the last naval battle of WW2 was won by an USMC boarding party. I am pretty sure there were some hardy souls as Q-ships for submarines to come up for a fight and there exists the possibility of reports that the Italians patrolled with schooners to find out stuff but Axishistoryforum and the like reject my country as a valid web adress.

2nd image = about life-size (on my screen) or about 4.8cm or 1 29/32".

The lanyard leads to a pistol (holster) on his right hip.

Amusingly, all this effort & you'll probably only be able to see the top of his head clearly.

See? It's catching. He's clearly dancing to the music  ;)

Well, today has been a step backwards.  :-\

I noticed some depressions behind where I'd glued the exposed "ribs" supporting the tops of the sides of the vehicle hold while I was doing some weathering effects.

Not a big deal, just a quick PSR session to fix them up, bit of masking & a quick re-spray.

Yeah! Right!

PSR went fine. Re-spray was easy ... But the paint, a different jar of the same colour (Medium Sea Grey) used previously was, at least, two shades lighter!  :o  :o

Looks  like I'll have to do a bit more masking & re-spray the rest, again, to get the colour right.

Argh...  :banghead:

Would just masking up and respraying a few bits be enough, and call it patching to repair battle damage?

buzzbomb

Gotta hate batch colour difference.

You will make it work, pretty confident there

Old Wombat

Finished the prep'ing for the re-spray & was about the start it when I realised that it's 1:00 pm, so I'll have to do it tonight when I get home, as it's time to get ready for work.

Things are moving forward!

Just about to start masking up for the camo scheme. This should be fun!

Almost Churchill time by the sounds of it..

Old Wombat

Sort of getting that way.

Still have a fair number of smaller items to build & add, though, &, with all the ribbing on the outside of the cargo bay, masking is a bit of a chore, plus, of course, I went for a rather complex camo, didn't I.  :banghead:  :banghead:

Of course! None of us believe in making things easy for ourselves, do we... sort of a 'badge of honour'... or 'facepalm behaviour'...
