My own model shop: Now for something completely different......

I just got this one delivered:

When I saw it, I just couldn't resist. This is something I have never tried before. The kit is a little disappointing. Only the shop window is included. The rest of the shop is a print to be glued on the back wall.
I want to build a "real" interior and include a some scale kit boxes (what-if kits of course  ;D ). Perhaps include some 1/24 figures as well.
Because of this, this might be a rather long term project  :-\

That means the 1/24 kits in the 1/24 store are going to be 1/576 scale. The 1/72 will be 1/1728.

Geek...  ;)  ;D

Hang some ship scale aircraft from the ceiling. I've no idea what scale they would be. Or, take some other super small cars or whatever and put them in block of clear resin shaped like a display case. Pour the top level, place the "models" upside done, pour another layer, add more "models", etc.

You could use a variety - 1/350, 1/700, whatever looks coolest...

Throw something 1/144 in there, on a display turntable, & call it the latest 1/24 or R/C model!  ;D

Some of the old 1/3000 ship wargaming models could work for a display.

I've seen photographs of this in Pintrest,  didn't realise it was an actual model !

Interesting, very interesting

Mostly harmless ...............

TomZ

The kit comes with a set of "built up models"

The small jet fighter is about 7mm long, so is 17cm in 1/24 scale (In your British medieval measures, that is about 6,5 inch......)
If it is meant to be a F-16 (look a little like one) it would be in 1/85 scale

I'm not too sure about the rivets though.......

;D  ;D  What are the panel lines like ?  ;)
Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

I wouldn't bother with pre-shading them.

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed, badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry.

I too have had lots of thoughts about this model, especially about the fact that Jadlam will sell you a custom 3D printed shop sign for it if you order one from them...

If they're whiffy models, then you could use 1/600th carrier aircraft for 1/24th and 1/1200th carrier aircraft for 1/48th scale.

If someone gets out the micrometer to measure them tell them to buzz off!
