Nope, there's almost NO buildings of any size in the area at all. Even the old hangars have been flattened.

Quote from: Gondor on April 11, 2026, 04:04:08 AMThe fuselage side is probably different from the similar side that you used. The differences between the two could be such things as holes for cameras, strengthening plates for hatches, or even just different panels. Not having the kit, I can't really say.

No, it's absolutely identical to the one I used for the model. I checked it VERY closely just for that reason.
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

Most odd then

Gondor's Modelling Rule Number Three: Everything will fit perfectly untill you apply glue...

I know it's in a book I have around here somewhere....

Kit I need some advice.

One of my next builds will be the AZ Spitfire PR Mk. IG.

Now there are 3 prop options in the box (I can discount the 2 bladed as that's for their early Mk I), but they also provide both DH and Rotol airscrews. Do you or anyone else know which the I.G used ?

I could dig my copy of Spitfire, the History out, but I'm lazy.
Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

IIRC they moved to Rotol props later on for most PR Spitfires and I used a Rotol on my PR1C for that reason.

I think the Rotols offered more strength and slightly better performance, but Lee can probably give us chapter and verse on it.

[Later, but not much} DH props were two position units, but Rotols were constant speed ones. I just checked.
