G'day everyone,

My name's Alex (forum name Aaewa), and I've just joined after lurking for a while, absolutely amazed by the creativity here. I've been modelling on and off for years but have always been fascinated by the stories behind the machines. The what-if side of the hobby is what really draws me in—it's the perfect blend of history, storytelling, and plastic!

My main interests are Cold War jets and modern armour, especially thinking about "what might have been" if certain projects entered service or were exported. I'm currently nursing a stash that's far too big and trying to build up the courage to start my first full-blown, backstory-and-all what-if project.

This forum looks like an incredibly friendly and inspiring place. I'm looking forward to participating, learning from your techniques, and hopefully sharing some builds soon.

Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

Welcome to the most anarchic, chaotic and charmingly supportive  site  on the Interweb!  It's a perfect example of how  CHAOS THEORY  really works.  Soaring imaginations and wandering anachronisms abound and are totally harmless,  but do beware of  occasional intrusions of reality.

Welcome aewa, it sounds as if you are more on the Project Cancelled side of whiffing, which is just a blurred edge of the forum. It's all pretty much the same thing, just from a different view point.
