Hello,

After first year of taking care over my and my wife clone...I mean daughter...I can finally start a WIP here again :)
Few weeks ago I found nice drawing on imgur, depicting Gee Bee as a interceptor. There was also a film on YT, one guy remade Gee Bee into NAVY fighter.
I must say that interceptor seems more possible , so I'll go that way. I bought cheap 1/32 Gee Bee by Lindberg and started to gather AM sets for early P-40 as these seems to be most fitting.
Of course seat, wheels, machine guns are mandatory.
I've began with cockpit. Kit had nothing beside floor, stick and IP. I've scratchbuild side panels, some cranks, throttle quadrant, rudder pedals, map pocket etc mostly from styrene and spare parts left after USS Tucumcari build.
Rudder was made from 2mm styrene. I've cut out part of canopy to make it open...

...It needs only to paint frame on one side. New engine is resin, along with three-blade propeller. Spats will nieed only a bit of sanding to fit P-40 wheels. Pilot came from 1/32 21st Century Toys Corsair. It needed a bit of surgery to make him sit on P-45 wing...

First days were great...and then both girls came from hospital. Seriously, last year was a nightmare. First month - rise n shine every two, three hours to feed. We were like zombies, very tired zombies. Then it get worse, flatulences came like fifth rider of apocalypse, we were exhausted. Daughter cried like angry caveman with obstruction, Im metal fan but death metal growl is more ear-friendly. We were exhausted, our midwife told us that "this happens,be patent,it'll pass soon". I was like "no f...ning way". After week of searching we found a "stomach friendly milk" and that with Espumisan helped our daughter with all painful problem...Well, for time being...because then,  all of sudden - teeths, with no warning. Teeth after teeth, without any break. She is year now, we have 12 teeths already. I asked my wife if she really cannot absorb her, if she was grown from her, then it should be some chance of absorbing...Well, no way.
Of course, Im joking but this is my only way of relieve all this stress...I know one thing- NEVER F...ING AGAIN, one and thats it.

Ah, the first one is where you make all the mistakes! The next one is easier. By number three it's a piece of cake. My son had colic and it was a tough time. From about 4 in the afternoon to about 10 at night he just screamed. We tried everything. He finally grew out of it. We thought we would loose our minds. Thank God the other two were much easier.

Fair enough, your call.
But we're glad you're all doing better now.

It's close to some painting. Gunbvay covers were scribed. Larger rudder was fitted and puttied with sprue-goo. There are some places where more putty will be needed but not much. Engine was painted and glued on place

That's an impressive little engine!

Too clean for a radial, though!  ;D  ;)

In want of hobby space!  The kitchen table is never stable.  Still managing to get some building done.
