I have the idea to use the original ( very nice) engine housings of the RODEN Gotha Bomber for a single project and keep the main parts of the kit together with different custom pods for another Steampunk project.

The box art made me think of a couple of things that I found somewhere years ago. Maybe Deviantart.

Three days on the project.

That Roden stuff is not really good. Some details but a poor fit at all.

That's a horror 109e  kit from revell,
deep from the dark age of scale modeling...

I fixed a lot of details on the project, prepared the discs for the wings with guitar strings ,  made the plane complete for paint and build two special props for the engines. The engine pods are also ready for the primer,  i hope to get that going on weekend.

The Killnoizer Imaginarium Magic factory in full production.

Guitar strings look great for this use, adding a bit of texture

This is looking great

Agree 100% !

The older stuff is good for this sort of thig - cheapish, thick plastic for modifying, and you don't have as much of a problem with cutting them up, where you might if it was nicer and more expensive.

.... you are right, but some of this old kits like the old 109 or 262 from revell are real bad to build,  you don't need that.

True; but you are a Modifier Extraordinaire, so anything too wonky can be covered with Putty or Backstory... (Kit's Second Rule applies...)

Getting the engines with the cables together is a little tricky...
