Cool. Not certain about France as operator, but the finish looks nice!

NARSES2

Oh I do like that    The worn finish is just right to me.

As for it being French ? Maybe the German's had been stopped on the line of Somme ?
Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

IRL, XP-60C / Curtiss Model 95C first flew in January 1943. Half a year later than the Hellcat, for example.

Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

Uchronia is a form of amusement. The idea is to imagine that France, having invested heavily in building factories for the Curtiss H75, would have wanted to amortize that investment by continuing to place orders with Curtiss. Since the XP-60 project began in 1941, we can assume that, driven by events, its development could have been completed by 1943/44.

Whatever.

Beautiful work, and looks perfectly natural in those colours!

Ah, the XP-60 a long, convoluted and confusing history and a stellar example of how
not to design an airplane. It's WWII Curtiss dysfunction in a nutshell.
The model numbering is confusing, the Model 90 designation only applies to the
Merlin/Packard Merlin engined aircraft.

The Model 90 was directly based on the P-40, the Model 95 was not.

Model 90: XP-60, R-R Merlin 28
Model 90B: XP-60D, Packard Merlin V-1650-3
Model 95A: XP-60A, Allison V-1710-75
Model 95B: XP-60B, Allison V-1710-75
Model 95C: XP-60C, was to be Chrysler inverted V-16 XIV-2220, built with R-2800-53
Model 95D: XP-60E, R-2800-10 (converted from XP-60B)

The YP-60E, R-2800-18, was designated as such because it resembled the XP-60E, even
though it was actually designed and completed before the XP-60E, but was accepted and
made its first flight six months after XP-60E.

The XP-60C was the R-2800-53 contra-prop testbed.

- Can't be bothered to do the proper research and get it right.  Revelling in numptytism.

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed, badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry.
