Well, that's Urd...    The Norn Of The Past and self-proclaimed "goddess of love", with an attitude to shoot first and ask later. 

She's coming along nicely, though. At the moment I am doing detail, and that improves the figure's look al ready a lot. I am still waiting for eye decals, though, they are supposed to arrive these days, and I hope I won't have to paint her eyes manually...

Since the forum was down(?) for a while, here's an update from this weekends progress with the smaller things. Things start to look good!

Looking really good!

And more colorful than expected! At first I had been uncertain how to paint Urd's dress, but was quite happy when I found that the figure is based on "real" color illustrations. Iwas afraid that the dark blue dress and coat are too murky, but with the intense blue tones I used it looks fine, and it's a good contrast to the skin.

The comic/cartoon/manga line-work effect is looking really good!

Well, it's a compromise. It's hard to make a 3D figure look "flat" and recreate that retro-anime look with limited color palettes, and 1:8 is a scale that IMHO requires some paint effects to create depth and plasticity - at 1:6 this already comes with natural light and subtler shading. I also do not want to over-do things.

Nothing really new to show yet. Made some further corrections, esp. at the intersection between skin and clothes, and I am still waiting for the anime eye decal sets I ordered to complete Urd's face.'
