The Me-163 Komet family

A few years ago I started thinking about a family of Messerschmitt Me163 models. As is always the case with my projects, I went a little overboard. The more research I did, the more designs and real aircraft popped up, that just had to be included.
But finally, here it is:

Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

Not related to Diamant over on Britmodeller are you? He and his father do families of aircraft as well.

My projects always start out quite simple, with just a few models. And then I start doing research and I just need to add this and that and suddenly is 40 models to make......

I must say that i did about half of them more than 5 years ago.
Then some were completed in 2024 and then some (mostly the Lippisch delta's and the other tailless designs)  in 2025.
So, I really can't say how much I spent on the series in total.

I am doing the same at the moment with a series of early jet aircraft (All jet aircraft up to and including 1946).
I started that series more than 20 years ago and am now finally decided to finish it.  ;)

Cool.  :thumbsup:  Must eat up a lot of shelf space, though, despite the models' compact size. ;D
