A Whiff modeller's ingenuity knows no bounds.   ;D
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

The word 'ambitious' was invented for just such a project!  ;D

Hahaha , 🤣 yes i think you are right.   But the wings are not "flapping" , i mean it is more oscillating.  Maybe the name Ornithopter is not 100% correct for that ?

I think about dark colored Windows, must try out how to do them with some paint from the inside.

Than a big gun should be somewhere, maybe it is the best solution to place it in the front turret. There is another turret on the underside like the B-17 Ball gunner.  Original guns are not big enough for me 😁.

But that's it, not really much work to do.

...and think about a single seat fighter version.

It's looking great! for a big gun, maybe a large lasgun on a ball mount at the front of the landing gear pods? Kind of like the side guns on a Mark VIII tank- picture 6 in this link:

Trying to keep it in the Dune levers/gears/rivets aesthetic.  And what a lasgun looks like? Whatever looks good and ominous
