I wanted a quick, simple and enjoyable build to clear my palate after the Gecko build. I picked the Arii 1/32 Owners Club Series '60 Mazda R360 - a tiny Japanese Kei car. It's simple and I could build it OOB without worrying about accuracy or obsessing over details.

It went together in minutes and painting was quick. I know there's some orange peel (caused by the Future, surprisingly) but the whole point was having fun:

This is such a tiny car! It is accurately scaled to 1/32, but it still looks small next to the 1/35 Steve McQueen:

This kit fulfilled my requirements - quick, easy and fun, with an OK result with minimum effort.

I recall seeing something similar at school, a tiny Daihatsu, which one of the teachers drove.
He and his missus both fitted in there, but don't ask me how...

Cute!   The varnish accident is annoying, though.  :-\

Use it as a base for some surface rust? Or faded and peeling paintwork?

Windex (Windolene - ammonia based glass cleaner) will remove Future.
Or has the paint reacted with it?
Future is normally pretty safe to use over most paints except acrylics.  It causes them to craze.
Don't ask me how I know this.

- Can't be bothered to do the proper research and get it right.  Revelling in numptytism.

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed, badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry.

Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

Lovely little build Frank mate ,,now that's a car i wouldn't even attempt to try to get into ..if i did manage it getting out could be a problem  ;D
If it aint broke ,,fix it until it is .
Over kill is often very understated .
I know the voices in my head ain't real but they do come up with some great ideas.
Theres few of lifes problems that can't be solved with the proper application of a high explosive projectile .

Thanks guys - I think the Future problem is that my bottle of Future is probably close to 15 years old and has thickened (it's thicker than honey now) I probably didn't thin it enough on the first few coats.

This car had a back seat - which I think may be big enough to hold this kit's model box (if you angle it just right). At 380 kg (838 lbs), you could probably lift one end and wheel it home if you ran out of gas.

You wouldn't need a jack to change a tyre, just a strapping friend or two... ;D

Probably wouldn't need a pump, either - just a good set of lungs!

Nice little build of a nice little model of a nice little machine.

Never mind the paint issues, looks good.

Transcontinental road trip in that one  ;D

Thanks, guys!

This is the current owner and a friend of one of the few surviving left hand drive versions of the car in the US:
