I don't play World of Tanks either (anymore), I just posted those photos to show more or less the kind of look I'm going for with these vehicles.

Anyway, enough about silly video games that no one plays.  I have now printed one of two MQM-57 drones for this set, as well as hulls for the T110E6 and T57, and the turrets for the T57 and M103A2.

You cannot view this attachment.

Unfortunately on closer inspection the gun tubes on the T110E6, T57, and M103 are all different diameters, with the M103's gun tube being the largest.  Since all three of said vehicles are supposed to have nearly the exact same gun, this is an issue!  Still trying to decide if it's worth it to print two more M103 gun barrels and graft them on to the existing turrets, or just explain this discrepancy away with some good old-fashioned whiffery.  I do have an idea about the T110E6, the US did do some work on 90mm smoothbore guns in the 1950s, so maybe I'll just use that as the reason for the smaller barrel on the T110.

I did assemble the first MQM-57, the second one will probably be broken down into its fuselage and wing sections.  It's so big that I'm considering just having a trailer with the drone, launcher, and antenna on it!

Steel Penguin

go with the same gun tube but different thicknesses on the thermal jacket
alternatively go for a heavy camo netting on them and wrap the barrels in gauze for that effect
or a heavy natural cammo, with cut turf on flat surfaces, branches and brush in grab rails and behind things, and a load of bark on the barrel so it looks like a fallen tree when its hull down
the things you learn, give your mind the wings to fly, and the chains to hold yourself steady
take off and nuke the site form orbit, nope, time for the real thing, CAM and gridfire, call special circumstances.
wow, its like freefalling into the Geofront

Those are all quite good ideas, thanks!

If i remember rightly you've got like 105mm ..120mm and 155mm guns on those three tanks Spino mate ..back in the day before guns like the British L7 came onto the scene.
Penguin has ya covered very nicely with that problem
If it aint broke ,,fix it until it is .
Over kill is often very understated .
I know the voices in my head ain't real but they do come up with some great ideas.
Theres few of lifes problems that can't be solved with the proper application of a high explosive projectile .

Technically they are all supposed to be variants of the same 120mm M58 gun found on the M103.  There was an oscillating turret tank proposal based on the M103 hull that would have mounted a modified 155mm T7 gun, but that was the T58 Heavy Tank, not the T57.  The T58 is actually one of the vehicles I'm planning to make with this set, so perhaps I'll just scrap the T57 turret and replace it with a T58 turret since the rest of the tank is externally the same.  The T57 was essentially just an M103 with a slightly modified 120mm gun paired with a revolver-style autoloader in an oscillating turret.  And the T110 was supposed to have a 120mm gun as well, I believe the same M58 as fitted to the M103.  One of the whiffery elements of these heavy tanks is that I'm using M103A2 hulls, so these tanks would either be upgraded versions of the original proposals or just took so much time to develop that it made sense to just have the better engine of the M103A2/M60 by the time they were ready.

On a side note, I have had to log in on a separate browser profile for the second time in order to view anything on the Whatifmodellers site.  I keep getting an error that says I am a guest and have been permanently banned for "iffy links in first post".  When I try to login, I get the same message.  First I switched to a different browser yesterday and that solved the problem (or so I thought), but this morning I had to change internet browsers again to get on here because I was getting the same error.  Not sure what is going on with that.

Thats exactly what i'm seeing too when i open with Chrome Tom ..again just like everyone else right now ,,just came out of the blue .

Spino mate you could just use a cheat code since this is Wiffy World after all and just stick with those same 3 guns and still keep em all at 120mm and the reason for the differences in thickness ??
Simplies ..the bores are still 120mm but the outer barrel is thicker dew to one reason for another ,,barrel tech moving with leaps and bounds as it does ,,couple of em a test beds for thinner experimental gun tubes to test overall barrel life ,,this is know to be true as it's been done many times in the RW so thats and excuse you could use and it'll be a true one  ;D

Funny you should say that, the first time I encountered it I was using Firefox.  I switched to Chrome, it worked for a day, and then gave me the same issue this morning.  So I have now switched to a different Chrome profile for today, hopefully it doesn't kick this one out tomorrow because I'm running out of options.

You make a good point, I didn't think of that.  I might just do that, we shall see.

Old Wombat

Same thing happened to me (as I said in the other thread). All I did was shut down my computer & re-start it. No issues since.

Wish that was all there was to it on my end, but that doesn't seem to be the case.  Restarting my computer didn't help anything unfortunately.
