Fairey A2E-2 Gannet

My US Navy version of the Gannet. Just because I love Gloss Sea Blue aircraft!

That looks good! If my painting skills were better that scheme could be a good fate for a Dynavector Wyvern I've been hoarding for a long time...

Could start a trend British aircraft in USA colours

Does that count as a trend?

I think someone had a go at the BAe Nimrod MR.2 in USNavy colours but I think the V Force bombers would look great 👍

That looks good Tom, certainly suits Gloss Sea Blue

Really, as it's primarily an ASW asset, it should be the S2E-2 Gannet.

However, as a former maintainer (& fan) of the real S2E/G Tracker, I'll accept the "attack" designation for the Gannet.

Also worked on the surviving RAN Gannet in the early-mid-1980s, while I was posted to the RAN FAA Museum (when it was a couple of demountable huts & half-a-dozen very interesting aircraft - Firefly, Sea Fury, Sea Venom, C47 fitted with a Venom radar nose, Gannet & a T-bird Vampire).
