Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

- Can't be bothered to do the proper research and get it right.  Revelling in numptytism.

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed, badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry.

For a model that's rooted in '2s' it's certainly NOT a second class model!

That's the main criterion.

A bit more work on the weathering & dirt & no-one would see those tiny defects!  ;)

A stunning build! Excellent!

Even though I called it done I'm experimenting with the Saudi dirt weathering. I sift out the larger grains and mix the fines with water and a little soap. Then I've been brushing it on all over but heavy on the tracks and suspension. It's looking good for now. I brush off some of the heaviest deposits and larger grains that look like rocks stuck to the sides. So far, so good!
I should look into a clear coat to hold it in place soon.

If you use a mortar and pestle, you can make the lumps go away... or a coffee grinder; but remember to wash it out after, or you'll have Real Ground Coffee...  ;)

I think these are real sand grains, not just dirt. I'll get a finer sifter next time.
Here's a photo dump.

Some of these do look like rocks stuck to the sides. I'll have to knock the bigger ones off.

It's grainier than I had hoped for, but I think it will do.

Did you just dunk the whole model in a sand tray, or what?

Looks good. Call it 'After a sandstorm'.

I did go over it today with a brush and knock off the bigger rocks!
Any suggestions for a clear coat to lock it down?
