That's not actually a Prowler, that's Chip Foose's 'Hemi-s-Fear', a concept car he designed and built before he started work for Chrysler Corp. It has its Hemi engine in the BACK!

All production Prowlers came with the bumpers, but they're very easy to remove apparently. You'd never get away with doing that in the UK mind you, oh no!  :-\
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

You can just see the induction trumpets behind the seats.
It looks cramped.

I've got all four possible engines built up for the Growler now, that the original 214 cu. ins. V6, the Duster's 340 cu. ins. V8, and the Dart's 440 cu. ins. Magnum V8 and 426 cu. ins. Hemi V8 too.

Amazingly they all seem to fit the engine bay in the Growler at first sight, but the addition of all the needed ancillary equipment may change that.

I see there's a real world Prowler with a 7.0-liter LS7 V8 from a Corvette Z06: https://www.thedrive.com/news/35527/this-ls-v8-swapped-1999-plymouth-prowler-with-a-5-speed-porsche-manual-is-finally-a-real-hot-rod

... without front bumpers, of course.

PR19_Kit

Yes, I like the look of that one, and may use a similar scheme for mine.

But putting a CHEVY engine in a Mopar car? I don't think so. :(

I think that's a Felony in Detroit...
(thanks to Tool Time for the quote)

It's OK putting a Chevy small block in any sort of Ford, specially a Model A, but in a Plymouth? NO way!

440 or nothing 🤔 😏
Or ..ok yep ...mind changed already.  426 with Hemi heads from a Boss 429 ..that sort ..huge buggers .turn the Growler into what the Prowler was ment to be..a light weight car with a stupidly powerful engine     ;D
If it aint broke ,,fix it until it is .
Over kill is often very understated .
I know the voices in my head ain't real but they do come up with some great ideas.
Theres few of lifes problems that can't be solved with the proper application of a high explosive projectile .

perttime

Should it have some external mods that make it obvious that it isn't "just another Prowler"?

I have seen rods like 32 three windows with monster engines like 500 plus cubes where they added cowlings to cover the rocker covers and exhaust manifolds ..when done right it looks bloody good and it makes ya wonder just what's powering it .

The colour scheme will do that primarily, but it will probably have a hood scoop and maybe other add-ons as well.

I've built the trailer already and I plan to use it to test out the colour scheme. It's got all of 6 parts to it...............

There is one I forgot when we were talking possible engines Kit.

If you can find one, the AMT '70 Dodge Super Bee Pro Street kit has a DOHC Hemi.  This is the "Doomsday Hemi" Mopar threatened to use in NASCAR when Ford built The Cammer.

Oh yes, but I bet that would NEVER fit in that narrow engine compartment.

I didn't know it had ever been modelled, so I'll make a not of that, thanks.

[Later] I ebayed the Super Bee and came up with two, both in Switzerland at around £40-50 with postage at £24. :(

But that was better than the ones from the USA, just the POSTAGE from there was over £60!!!

It's a useful kit for kit bashing purposes as apart from the engine choices it has a fully detailed Pro Street chassis with massive wheel tubs, a four link rear end, and huge Mickey Thompson treaded tyres.  Ideal for putting under a plethora of large bodied cars.
