Did you scratchbuild the Gatling gun?

More in-progress pics, please!   :)

Yes, the gun is scratchbuilt from a bit of brass tubing, sprue and .020" rod.  Lots of fiddly little bits!

Sorry, no more pics of the Guardian for a while.  I forgot to mention that during development the project encountered several delays, most relating to the fact that ALL British military projects encounter major delays (remember when the Typhoon would be entering squadron service in '97 and the Nimord MR.4 in '04?).

Another major delay was encounter when the builder (me) was dragged kicking and screaming into the real world to go make a living.  I write this from a hotel room in greensboro, NC where tomorrow I begin learning the care and feeding of the Airbus A300B4-203(F).  I guess I can't complain too much, it's going to be a fun couple of months!

Fortunately I only live a couple of hours from here so I'll be home at the weekend.  The lovely Mrs. Aeroplanedriver has to work all next weekend, so maybe I'll kill a little time at the hobby table!

So I got that going for me...which is nice....

Good luck with the training buddy.

Oh sim is so much fun, eh?   <_<

It's been a couple of years since I was in a full-motion sim so I'm really looking forward to it.

Next week & a half is all Basic Indoc/Intl ops, then two weeks of systems ground school, then off to Miami for the sim.

Ha, that's a long time!

Much longer than the 208 initial!

Well, the Typhoon wasn't our fault (Germany I'm looking in your direction) but the Nimrod we have to take full responsibility for that FUBAR
