Good evening,

A bit of a long shot, I'm looking for an Aeroclub 1/72 F-101A/C resin & white metal conversion set (K835), designed for the old Hasegawa kit. Does anyone have one kicking about that they are willing to part with? Thanks

I've got an incomplete DB productions conversion kit (D.B.59) if that's any use.

It's supposed to consist of a resin nose and four white metal gun muzzle fairings, but it's only got one of the latter, hence why it was £1 in a bits box. I don't need it any more because all the Valom Voodoos, whatever version it's claimed to be on the box, have the radar nose A/C parts on the sprues.

Thanks for the offer, but I need the Aeroclub one.  John Adams has said I can have the master, but he doesn't have it anymore, so I wanted to find a casting to re-work.

I also got an incomplete DB set.  Mines missing all the gun fairings.  I didn't realise they were supposed to be there until i read this and then looked at the destructions.
It was included in the box when I picked up the kit.  There is also a set of the Aeroclub white metal undercarriage in there.

- Can't be bothered to do the proper research and get it right.  Revelling in numptytism.

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed, badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry.

Ah, never mind Colin: hope you find one.

While we've got you, one bandwagon you might like to jump on is the new Airfix Wessex. The exhaust nozzles are each in two halves, which means fiddly clean-up between the external ribs, and the lips are noticeably thick due to (presumably) injection-moudling limitations. Looks like an open goal for a pair of one-piece resin nozzles with fine lips.

If you wanted to get more involved, or be prepared for the RN HU.5 boxing we all know's coming, I've just bought the Navy Wessex weapons platforms from Air Graphics, and they're poor: lots of flash, poorly detailed rocket pods and abysmal instructions. I've found a decent set of drawings (instruction manual, not design) on the web which you're welcome to if you're interested.

Thank for the suggestion, I've just ordered one so I'll take a look.
