Same when I was in elementary (primary) school.  There was just something about freshly "printed" worksheets.

I'm old enough to remember when a photocopier turned out a negative image. I think it was a conspiracy by Big Library to make us spend another 10 cents to photocopy the first one in order to get a positive.
