good looking and good back story
glad you were able to overcome the problems Kit
the things you learn, give your mind the wings to fly, and the chains to hold yourself steady
take off and nuke the site form orbit, nope, time for the real thing, CAM and gridfire, call special circumstances.

They're not perfect, the clamp lines vary in thickness as it's so difficult to maintain a constant pressure on the ink pen, and the orange decals were a REAL pain to apply as well. The two black ones just fell on though, go figure?

I'm pleased it's done, and it looks pretty much as I envisaged it in the first place, always good with a Whiffed model.

Thanks gentlemen, I'm pleased that you like it too.

Hmm, I've just noticed I've screwed up the Mission Profile graphic, I'll have to move a few of the stage pics around............  :banghead:

Really nice! The pain of dealing with the SRB bands payed off. Everything looks superb. I love the tile effect on the wings!

Great build and great story! Nice job on the stripes. For a pretty small thing they add a lot.

Thanks, that was remarkably simple to do actually. I painted the whole underside satin black and then lightly scored all over it with a scalpel so that the grey primer underneath showed through. I was originally going to do a really complex pattern aligning the tiles to the edges of the airframe etc. but just holding it in place was difficult so I just did a square pattern in the end.

Thanks Kerick, I specially sought your approval as you know what you're talking about with this space stuff, and I'm damned if I do really.  ;D

Here's a link to my Titan launcher from way back. I'm attempting to do something similar for the spaceplane.

Nice one Kit - it looks great. All the struggle with the SRBs paid off.

(Could've sworn I'd commented on this at the time, but now it's nowhere to be seen...  I think sometime I type a reply out then get distracted and never hit POST  :banghead: )

Thanks, I'm almost embarrassed because there were so few entries, but such is modelling life.
