For a 'Lesser Known Manufacturers Classic GB' over on Britmodeller. The photo shows what I'm starting with, warts and everything. You can see some of the paint that the previous owner applied, and most of it I've stripped. They included Dutch decals, which may have been the intent of the build. The Finnish and British decals? Your guess is as good as mine.

The Militaire Luchtvaart van het Koninklijk Nederlands-Indisch Leger, ML-KNIL had the B-10 export version.

That's an interesting canopy on the Dutch 166s, it goes the full length of the older, two piece canopies of the B-10. That'd take some SERIOUS moulding to produce!

I've fond memories of that kit. It was probably the first "foreign manufactured" kit I built as a kid

I think that the U.S.Army decals are they only real Martin B-10 decals. The dutch and RAF decals are both for the Brewster Buffalo and the finnish decals are for a Fokker D.XXI.

The differences between the B-10/B-12/139WH-1/2 and the Model 166/139WH-3 are more extensive than just the full-length canopy. The nose profile and turret design were modified and the wing was redesigned. The outer wings were completely different and resembled those of the DC-1/2/3.



The Netherlands Model 139/166 were originally delivered in the standard USAAC scheme.

Ah, the weird design phase between WW1 bipes and WW2 monos.  That is an old fav of mine, you can see what was coming with the advantage of time.
And all those bright colors!

Making my first post to say, wow! What a concept. I've always loved interwar American designs and giving the B-10 to Mexico is certainly a Whif! Excited to see more from this.

If at first you don't succeed, try, try, try again. If it still doesn't work, give up, there's no sense being a damned fool about it! And that's what I've done, at least as far as the interior goes. The previous reviews warnings that I've seen about this kit are correct; it ain't easy. The interior looks like it is the worst part of this, I'm hoping that the rest will be a little bit easier. Fortunately the overall impression of a whiff is what means the most to me, not pesky little details.

So production is back, and this should actually get done soon. Oh wait... first I have to go through the requisite paint disasters that plague every one of my builds.
