I'll definitely be there, even if I have to swim across the Severn.........  ;D

Hope you have a successful show, but as it will be my 80th birthday I shall spend the day eating & drinking too much with family & friends!

Hope the day goes well.

Happy Birthday for then.

That seems to me a very sensible  plan.  Happy birthday for then.

Despite my statement to the contrary earlier in this thread, I'm afraid I won't be at the Avon Show this year, sorry. :(

Because of me living in two places many miles apart these days, I'd be faced with 500 miles of driving over the next few days in order to get to the Show with a meaningful collection of models, and I am the oldest member of the Sig..............

It'll be the first Avon show I've missed since they were held at the old site in Bath. :-(

Should be there, bringing my handful of whiffs to the Malvern Hills IPMS Branch stand. Complete with leaflets of the backstory, scale 3-view drawings, etc.
Can't guarantee to be on the stand though, as I am also meeting friends in town. But you can look out for the old crumbly with fading blonde ponytail, beard and strong spectacles, so you know to steer well clear. ;)
Cheers.

Im day tripping to the show again this year. As Kit gave me a little forwarning that he wouldnt be attending I will be loading an extra box or two for the display.

A quick note for those attending. Our hosts have stated that only one box of undertable sales item per group/club display is accepted. so if more than one of you turns up with items to flog off, you will have to arrange either to share a single box or take turns with having your items on view up front.........................

I always hope for the best.
Unfortunately,
experience has taught me to expect the worst.

Size (of the stash) matters.

Does this forum group have a stand there? Forgot to say I am shooting for the IPMS Malvern Hills Branch stand.

[Thinks: bring a couple of boxes and two-time you both?]
Cheers.

The UK WhatIf SIG will have a stand at Avon, yes.

Sadly it'll be minus me this year though. :(

See you all tomorrow.

I will be bringing a sales box and note the restrictions laid down.

Only one box per stand, right? I found a nice big box with lots of room for lots more stuff, so we can pool our resources. Need to label it all if we want our beer money back, though.
Cheers.

This is the stand at Thornbury today. It has been a very reasonable day out.

Looks excellent, a pity I couldn't make it this year. :(
