The Wrath Of The Droid: A Star Wars Story

So, I thought I'd throw my hat in the ring for this group build. Oddly for me, it's a figure for once, which is something I never normally do.
The back-story is still being created, but essentially during the clone wars, several battles take place on a planet called Iego. Leaving thousands of destroyed droids all over the place. A Boy called Jaybo Hood is a tinkerer and rebuilds and reprogrammes droids to be his servants. One day he finds the processor from a tactical droid and fits it to his favourite B1 battle droid. He is then able to give it a version of artificial intelligence in order to have a best friend. The story develops and they get into the sport of droid fighting where they earn enough money to finally buy their own ship and get off planet and explore the galaxy together.

To do this build, I will create my own CAD models, then 3D print them and add them to a B1 figurine. I will also be doing some scratch building to add other details and giving the droid a fresh paint job too.

Those droids seemed to have some intelligence, just never enough. This ought to be a fun one to watch!

Having spent yesterday drawing up the bits I need, I have now printed the parts this morning.

Another update: The parts have now all been attached.

Whilst everything has been printing/ drying, I've started the mother of all back-stories.... some might even call it a back-novel when it's done.

Don't want them too intelligent. They might question why they are fighting.

Not that I know of, check the backstories in the 'Alternative History' section, some of them go on for EVER.

I thought the day glo orange looked really cool, it just doesn't fit with the Star Wars aesthetics unfortunately.

I can see why people do figures now. Don't have to worry about cockpit details or decals or anything. Just basic assembly and painting
