It's getting back to how it was before the first primer disaster anyway. I'm not sure that it'll end up 100% as I originally thought it up, but it should be close.

The PSR on the Dragon B is INTERMINABLE! 

Because the M'Box -600 isn't exactly the same diameter as the Sword U125 everything from the Dragon A just DOESN'T fit exactly and needs lost of PSR before it's sorted. Now I've got the deep windows in place, almost and I've added the cockpit canopy too, which is much sleeker looking shape than the normal BAe 125's.

It's SLOWLY getting there.

I've about had enough of PSRing the Dragon B, I'm WELL over double figures in the number of sessions so far. 

So I bit a bullet and decided to re-mask the windows and then gave it some more primer before I saw how really bad the PSR status was. In some places it's better than I thought it would be, but in others it's terrible. Some of them are in places I thought were already well sorted too! 

I think this'll surely be the very last model I try and resurrect, in future if I decide to scrap them, they're staying scrapped!

I've also tried to resurrect those blasted ResKit Harpoons. Try as I may they STILL look junk, even with styrene fins. ResKit are all over the place seemingly these days, but to my mind they're well over detailed and over fiddly, so I'm going back to the tried and trusted Hasegawa Weapons Sets, they're pretty darn good and they've stood the test of time for me.

That's it, I've had enough of PSRing this blasted Dragon B, I'm not doing any more and any dents etc. that remain will just have to stay there!

I'd left the wings off it until now as they'd get in the way of any serious sanding work, but I've just glued them on, so the die is cast. I'll do the small amount of PSR that'll be needed on the wing roots before starting the colour coats, and the already printed decals will go on before I attach the engines.

That's because they get in the way of decalling, or did do on the Dragon A, so much so that I didn't get the main decals in position at all. The engines are still the Sword ones from the Dragon A and they're already painted so it should just be a case of gluing them on and trimming up the paint.

The Dragon's got wings on now, but they could be a tad longer of course....... 

It's also got its first all-over primer coat and it's starting to look like an aeroplane!



The wing roots will need a bit of PSR plus I need to add a small dorsal intake too, currently it's just a hole in the spine. Then I'll start thinking about colours, but they'll be the same as the Dragon A, Hemp upper surfaces and either Medium Sea Grey or Light Aircraft Grey on the underside.

I REALLY layered on that primer. There's still a slight bleed through on the wing tips and roots, but it'll need at least two more primer coats on yet I'm sure.

It looks even more Disney-like from side on as it has an IR tracker pod sticking out underneath. 

The moulding is superb, one of Colin's products of course.

I've got most of the 'sticky-out' bits added to the Dragon B now. That's the MAD boom, which came from the Dragon A model, the IFR probe, which has had to be re-scratched as the old one was eaten by the Carpet Monster, and the teeny-weeny Q-feel intake at the base of the dorsal fin. The latter was a real PITA is it's so small, and it needed drilling after it was glued in place, not easy.

The add-ons will need a touch of PSR but it's almost ready for some colour.

The Dragon B's got all of its colour coats on now, the radomes are drying off as I write. So very soon it'll be back to the state the Dragon A was when I binned it back in October,

I'm not 100% sure about the colour of the various radomes, there's one you can't see in this view under the leading edge of the wing. Humbrol would have me believe that they're 'Radome Tan' but they look far too yellow to me. Anyone else got any suggestions?

If it was me,  I'd stick to 'paint them matt black ' or the same colour as the fuselage. Alternatively the nose radome can be black with the others the same colour as the fuselage.

They look like Primrose Yellow to me (usual disclaimers).
I've used Vallejo Deck Tan for radomes.  IIRC (I have a vague memory of Jon telling me this) it is meant to represent lino decking.
