Very smart, and WHOLLY believable as well.
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

Regards
Kit

That looks very good, particularly like the load out
Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

Good one - that nose gives it a really different look.

That nose was a part of an upgrade of the real-world RDAF F-35 and TF-35 Drakens in the 1980's, which included a new WDNS (Weapon Delivery and Navigation System) and a laser rangefinder and marked target seeker in a new nose. By 1986 the Drakens had their weapon aiming and navigation accuracy  brought up to a similar capacity as the F-16.

Very nice. Real world Project Cancelled > model. Model > backstory. Backstory meet real world. Backstory > model. Proper whiffing! And a Draken too.
Cheers.

This is really, really good, Arne, and I feel a bit honoured having been an inspiration.
This also helps me keeping my mojo going, pushing for continued work on my Sk35C.
Praise the Lord and pass the ammunition!

I'm looking with interest at your Sk 35C build, Pellson, as I have a Sk 35C on my workbench. Its a conversion based on a 1/72 Hasegawa J 35F and the Maestro Models Conversions K7241 set. And I've found that the fit between the kit fuselage and the new short tail is awfull. When the tail is flush with the top of the fuselage, there's a gap at the bottom. So a lot of PSR lies ahead.

Interesting! I was under the impression that the Maestro early Draken conversions were good. Not so much, apparently.  But you'll figure that out!
