No backstory yet for this one yet. But it'll be something like: gasturbines were introduced earlier and helicopter development went from two rotors side-by-side (Focke Achgelis) to two (one in front of the other).  Due to limited production being available Henschel was pushed into development of a ground attack heli, based on the Hs 129 ( Henschel's expertise in airplanes)

Undercarriage will be made from the frontlegs of an Belvedere an rear will be the original Hs 129 unit salvaged when I managed to brake it of during decolorization/ cleaning.
In the end it'll look a little like the Piasecki HUP-1 retriever.

Gas turbines with an TBO of <25 hrs. and gearboxes that regularly stuffed up because of a lack
of materials with the necessary strength etc..

Nice build. A great example of kit bashing! Will there be stub wings for ordnance?

There are two options here: stubwings with ordnance like MK 108 on each end and maybe a rocket launcher (R4m's) or put a PAK 40 under its belly. I plan to do the latter and put the stubwings on without ordnance.

Way to go in my view
Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

I've got one of those in the stash but too many other projects, many of them RW home improvement stuff.

Odd, but cool. I wonder about its powerplant, though?

It could always be a post-war German prototype. That would provide more engine types and better materials.

That is cool, I could have sworn I had already commented on it.

Don't be silly Jon.  Once someone has sold the idea to Hilter then it will happen no matter how many slaves have to die in the process... :-\

Depressingly true. My friend Lynn Ritger is getting closer and closer to finishing the manuscript of his magnum opus technical history of the Me 109 and he's pulling no punches in regards to the use of slaves by Messerschmitt and the rest of the Nazi German aviation industry.
