I saw a picture of a conversion set to turn the DO 335 into the DO 256, on Facebook the other day, and made me think, how difficult would it be to make one myself. My main concern is to engine placement due to the main landing gear, so perhaps putting the engines side by side on the fuselage underside. I might have a pair of suitable jet engines for it, I will have to have a look, as Me 262 engines could be a bit small. A radar nose and some 20mm cannon would be fitted for night fighter duties.

There's some larger views (side, top, bottom, front) of Dornier P-256 at https://www.hubertcance.com/large-multi-view/Plan-Drawings-Aircraft-1918-1945/3461178-262-270442/Drawing/dornier-p-256.html

The page doesn't allow right clicking, so you cannot just copy the images. Screenshots are possible, I suppose.

Screenshots are almost ALWAYS possible, thank goodness. Maybe half my reference pics come that way.  ;)

Found these pics of the P. 256 which will help too. Thanks for the link Perttime, it looks like it should be an easy conversion if I have suitable engines.

Looks like a jet engined B-26 Marauder.  :o

I was just thinking that.

I use Snip & Sketch; it works when right-click doesn't, and you can resize the picture all over the place.

I have found a nose fir this, and the pair of me262 engines fit perfectly. Instead of a tail cone, I am going to fit a piece of tubing, and the exhaust from the rocket version of the Douglas skyrocket. So, a bit more wiffery added to the build. I am also going to leave the rear air scoop on too as it will be part of the cooling system for the rocket motors.
