Today i have started my "bad idea" project with the Vintage CR 73 Kit from SUPER MODELL.

It is not possible for me to upload pictures , i try to solve that problem. Is there anything new in the forum software ?

Edith:  pix are uploaded, but i can't place them here.

If it aint broke ,,fix it until it is .
Over kill is often very understated .
I know the voices in my head ain't real but they do come up with some great ideas.
Theres few of lifes problems that can't be solved with the proper application of a high explosive projectile .

The construction went forward very fast, this plane is very small.
Fixing the upper wing on the fuselage was a delicate job to do. With my high precision tool i tryed my very best late at night.  Unbelievable construction 🤬😵.

There are very sweet textures on the wings!
The only thing i will change for the "bad idea group build" is the propeller.

Day three of building...

You cannot view this attachment.

All of the biplane modellbuilders out there, you have my full respect!
Getting this tiny parts and the wings correct together could be very hard job.

I will attach the wheels later, i have tried to get it all together in one step, no chance. The concept of the kit is a miracle!

And i have build the second propeller, made from a old one with a new spinner made from a bomb.

Fine shaping on the blades, and i cut a fine line with a knife into the bomb to take it of later. It is good to have a solid grip for the fine tuning of the blades.

To glue the blades on the spinner i have to melt the styrene very well ( glue on, waiting, glue again, waiting )  and put it together like it is welded to one piece.

So i have two props in the same size and design, turning counterwise.

OK...........................  :-\

So where does the other prop go??????  :o
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

Funny that you ask for that detail.
I am so deep in the construction ( and the short time i have) that i just forget to declare what i wanna do with the two props.

Considering how old it is the CR 32 is a decent kit.
Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

And the new prop, i like to make little things like that

But the fuselage and the wings need some more work and fine sanding, so i have to wait with that.

Today, afternoon and some time for cleaning the bird and mounting the props at the front.

That was a revolutionary concept at that time, one engine and a sophisticated gearbox to drive two props,  the Duce was very enthusiastic and invested billions of Lira into the project!
There where some unexpected problems at the first flight tests.
