The 1/72 Revell Blohm and Voss 222 isn't an easy kit to build as I have never been able to complete one.  One of my attempts ended up using the wings from the old Airfix Avro Vulcan bomber aka 'Sledge Hammer or Thors Hammer '.
The other was a car ferry, I now know where I went wrong. I shall get the nose to pivot and not opt for a pair of clamshell watertight doors.
Although interior detailing is provided it can't be easily seen, the wings are pretty straightforward but the engines provided can cause problems and a beaching trolley can be purchased but it's an aftermarket product.
So I'm thinking along the lines of an amphibious version, using parts from a C-130H or C-160. Something looking like the transport variant. Thoughts about changing the wings, B-36 Peacemaker (prices are a bit steep) but there's always the vacform kit. Probably ending up with something that resembles the Convair Tradewind.
An engine change to the Rolls-Royce Tyne or the ones from the Tu-142 Bear H kit. If my memory serves me well, there's not a great deal of PSR. Window changes and the blanking over of gun turrets.
It's a large kit to build, maybe the 1/144 scale model might be more suitable but the prices are roughly the same as the 1/72.
One of these ideas might be seen in a future GB for the 2025/2026 season.

You're a braver man than I am, Gung... I mean McColm.
In want of hobby space!  The kitchen table is never stable.  Still managing to get some building done.
