I mean how hard can it be to kitbash something resembling the Lockheed C-130 Seaplane? Harder than I expected. On my first attempt I used a boat hull and a 1/72 Lockheed C-130H.  I didn't take notice of the main landing gear, it needs to be extended.
Second attempt use the Airfix Shorts Sunderland and change a few parts, problem the C-130 parts are too big.
Third attempt use the 1/72 Hasegawa Kawanishi H8K2 Emily and add the parts from the C-130,  same as attempt number 2.

Light bulb moment, cut a large hole in the lower fuselage of the C-130 and slide it down on the selected flying boat and cut the rear end off. As I have another 1/72 Hasegawa Kawanishi H8K2 Emily flying boat and a pair of fuselage halves from a AC-130H Spectre Gunship. I can at least work out where to cut to get a good fit. Just waiting for further funding for a C-130 model kit.
A raid in the spare parts boxes, PSR and a few choice words should produce something credible.

Alternatively the Revell 1/72 BV-222 Wiking could be another way forward. Its large enough to accommodate the parts from the C-130.
