You don't, not at that scale - unless you want to go insane. Maybe very thin wire from a stranded wire? Or just a blob of glue or plastic to give the suggestion. That's what I did with the AK Interactive fisherman (although one broke off):

Yah, I've just given up on that idea - Far too much like hard work!  :banghead:  :banghead:

Glue blobs may be the go.

Very good.  I see you've chosen to go with Shimano reels.

Shimano? Is that the same Shimano who make stuff for bikes?  :o

Yes,  they make reels, gears, rowing shoes and (until recently)golf equipment.

You know how the Japanese proto-mega corps are.  I mean look at Hitachi.  They make everything from trains and locomotives, to power generation, to handheld, light duty, and heavy duty construction equipment, to a particular magic wand

Slow going here but I thought I should share where I'm at;

Overview of the two boats:

The generator (not really necessary on the boat but I thought I'd leave it as a "back-up") is a single piece of 3D printed resin:

Modifying the Mk.19 GL to an early configuration (ca. 1968) & mounting it to the original .50 cal mount at the stern took more effort than I'd hoped but worked better than expected:

I really do have to hit them with paint next, so I can get moving further, faster!

They are going to sit a little down at the bow but that's ok. Add some more ammo boxes at the stern.

Yes,  they make reels, gears, rowing shoes and (until recently)golf equipment.

And their fishing reels, like their bicycle gear shifts, explode in a mass of springs and gears should you try to fix them yourselves.  Or so I am told - i've not tried it with a fishing reel.

Boats are looking good Womby.

Thanks for the suggestions, gents. ;D

@Fred: Did you notice the rod holders? They're in different places on the two boats, 'coz they're not an issue part. ;)

Nice product placement  ;D

Looking the goods so far, the mounts for the Quads are nifty.
These PBR kits are a great build, fit is pretty good for the age of the kit.
