The Shadow was designed as a light weight fighter. Capable of Mach 1, with Laser guided 'Metal Storm' weapons system, this aircraft proved itself with smaller nations throughout the world.

Model: 1/32nd YF-22 by Testers

Conversions: Re-scaled to 1/16th, converted to 'Butterfly' tail and added new cockpit and rear faring.
Butterfly tail 'cause I liked the YF-23 rather than the 22.
The cockpit and faring was an acryllic wine flute, cut down the centre. Pilot, 1/16th Dragon WW2 figure and new instruments/cockpit/seat.
U/C. Nose assembly now, two wheels, as does main U/C. Main U/C now looks like Jaguar.
Guiding system in blunt nose, weapons snug along the fuselage sides.

Why, well I received the model for nix, and well, why not!

Awful high-tech to be launched from a wooden platform, no ?

:P

Looking good, buddy ! Love the butterfly tail, and I agree with your thoughts vis-a-vis the 22/23 !

Great work, you'd have no forward view problems with that canopy

Great work Glenn, real nice conversion, and pretty wacky too.

Only disapointment is that the photo doesn't show her banking over some pacific atoll  :)

Cool and I can't wait to see a pic of her knocking down a Manchurian Confederacy Dragon's Wing.

Looks like a cross between a F-22, a F-111, and the MiG-37 Ferret...

Nice!
