I also added a 1/48 Italeri BAe Hawk T1 which I got mostly for the decal sheet.
Dude saying things like that could involve international travel and making it worth it  ;D

Really?

I won something yesterday ive been after for ages which im happy as hell about and at the same time its made me change plans again for a future build
I won three Mnongram B-29 A/M bits ..which are
Squadron Crystal Clear Canopies (Vac form)
Loon Models modified Tail Turret (2x .50 cal)
Now those two bits i have bugger all need for ,,well maybe the tail turret will com in handy but the best bits are a set of True Details Propellors  ;D
Those are a fantastic score and were the original props i wanted for this build ,
Rick mate you were dead right

A friend from my club hit up quite a score at an antique shop. He cleaned out their shelves of old kits and boxes of junk models. He gave me a Matchbox kit of an F-101B/RF-101B/CF-101B in 1/72nd scale. Not exactly super detailed but the price was right! Question is what to whiff it up as.

Nice to know; now if I could only remember what I said...   ;)

The Canopies are worth the trouble, just saying. They really do let you see more of what's in there... there again, if the kit canopy is a good'un, it can be easier to use that... *shrug*

We were chatting about those 3D printed props and you said but im not quoting ya here but you kinda said that these props will work until the plans might possibly change again ..or something like that  ;D
It's a pretty accurate comment really considering how many times the plans have changed already
And yep ...they changed again  :banghead:

snap. I biffed it off around Brexit/Trump 1.0 time. Too much toxic vitriol from people I thought I knew well. I genuinely do not miss it, nor have I ever thought for a second about opening another account.
That's a fair comment ;)  ;D . I got a fair amount of abuse and invective hurled my way recently. When I made a not very flattering comment about the ghastly (personal opinion)"Union Flag" scheme on the RAF Typhoon, some jerk told me I should be "proud to be British" and, "proud to see it wear our flag". Well, I commented that it (a) was not my flag and, (b) I don't regard myself as "British"! ;D  ;D .I thought it was hilarious.

I am a member of several airport  related enthusiast groups on FarceBook so, that makes it worth my while. You're pretty much spot on though regarding the toxic vitriol etc. I keep to just those afore mentioned pages.

Dropped into the nearest Hobycraft to my 'country home' to see what those Mistercraft 'Harriers' might be like, but they hadn't got a Mistercraft anything!

But they did have a Revell (ex M'box) Twin Otter, with two LOVELY PT6 engines. Just what I wanted for my Super Sealand, and it was half the price of some Twotters on ebay! So now I've got it, and the engines look like they'll fit a treat.  ;D

[Later] Oh yes, the Twotter comes with some lovely Canadian decals that will surely end up on something before too long.   ;D
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

Bumper few days here for a change.

From Ebay:
Revell 1/100th Apollo Lunar Module - AT LAST I CAN FIX MY MOON ROVER!!!!
Italeri 1/72nd OH-58A Kiowa - You try in vain to get on of these for years and then somebody come along selling four...  (About the only resemblance these bear to buses)

From Hobbycraft, since I had a £5-off-£20-spend voucher:
Mistercraft UH-1N Desert Huey - bought mainly for the extensive stores and alternative bits, but the particular parts breakdown does give me an idea...
Academy 1/72nd Challenger Mk.3 - no idea why this is called a "Mk.3" since it's clearly a Challenger I. Nice though.
Those two ended up costing me £9 each, which is reasonable.

It's a Challenger MK3 with the extra armour for Desert storm, Challenger Mk2 was an improved version of the original Challenger fixing issues that the Shir 2 had that the BAOR found when bringing them into service.
Challenger 2 was a complete redesign to replace the MBT-80
Challenger 3 is the Chally 2 hull refurbished and fitted with new turret with smoothbore 120mm gun.

Yes, there are places in the instructions where it's called a "Challenger I Mk.3" and others where it's just "Challenger Mk.3".
