that is brilliant
both as a bit of modelling and a gift for a friend
the things you learn, give your mind the wings to fly, and the chains to hold yourself steady
take off and nuke the site form orbit, nope, time for the real thing, CAM and gridfire, call special circumstances.
wow, its like freefalling into the Geofront

Quite a part from the very neat model, I like the concept of 'Life Stuff', it's what we all have to deal with but tend not to think of it a separate activity, to modelling of course.  ;)
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

True, Kit... all this 'Adulting' stuff wasn't in the brochure...   ;)

And thanks fellas.

1/76 Japanese Tankette **real world**

An Airfix Bren Gun Carrier changed into a vehicle captured by the Japanese and converted into a light tankette.
Not the greatest of vehicles; but it mounts 2 machine guns, and if all you've got to stop it is small arms, it's big enough to do the job.

There was once a series of articles in the old Airfix Magazines, where Chris Ellis made a raft of conversions on the Airfix armour range.
This was one of the easier.
Plastic sheet for the upper superstructure, a turret made from a piece of pen tubing, with an mg out of rod and fuse wire for the cooling fins.
Hatch from a tank wheel.

Humbrol green base and ochre camouflage, painted Marines Anchor.

I may rework it at some point, as I'm not happy with the lack of headroom for the driver and gunner; I think the profiles are wrong.

That may be the last post for a while; I have a few things that I need to get markings onto, and a few others I have to find and photograph - but with a bit of time off over the Christmas/New Year season, I have a fighting chance of getting that done... he says hopefully.  ;)

Or is that In Denial/Cloud Cuckoo Land?
I'm never sure...  ;D

Denial is a much better place!  ;)

Works for me - and with the temperatures at this time of year, being like a Wet Egyptian will have a much-needed cooling effect.    ;D

Having thought on it, there was one other; but his Hole was in Iraq...

In Upcoming Events, I have managed to Finish! a couple of models as presents, so herewith returning to something approximating your regularly-scheduled programming....

10th Doctor's Sonic Screwdrivers *Sci-Fi*

Another pair of 3D prints for Sisters' Christmas. She's also a Big David Tennant fan, so these are his ones.

One is a multi-part replica and the other was designed to hold a Bic refill and be used as a pen.

I found an off-white spray that worked for the white parts and used Humbrol for the Blue and Silver, while the Black is an acrylic paint.

The multi-part version has a space down the centre for a strengthening rod; I utilized a knitting needle and used super glue to secure the parts.

I may use a spray clear to give them a tougher coating to resist rubbing off with handling, we'll see how it goes.

I still have to track down a source for individual pens, for the refills – a box of 50 is a wee bit excessive.

Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.
