At long last, I've finished my Italeri Gripen. Built as a semi-fast build and as a learning expirience, and also I was getting fed up with my Ra'am. What if Israeli bird armed with 2 GBU-16s, 1 AGM-65, 1 AGM-45 and 2 AIM-9L. Weapons came from Hasegawa Wapons sets, except kit Maverick. It's brush painted with Humbrol enamels and mounted on a Humbrol clear stand.

Main thing I learned was to cover my models while the paint is drying :dum:
Haven't done much clean-up of seams and such, but it looks ok.

Decals comes from the kit (stencils) Hasegawa Netz (plane#, Phoenix marking and chaff dispensers) and from Cutting Edge (Shield of David and kill markings)

Enjoy it

It looks better than okay.  That's dang nice.  Especially for brush painting.  What are you using to thin those humbrol paints?

Aircav

Love the mount and the idea of the stands not bad either, cool colours :P  :P
Looks great :D  :D  :D

Getting back into modeling

Wow that's beautiful. So much nicer than overall gray. Is the stand glued to the bottom of the centreline tank?

Hobbes, the stand isn't glued on, I just cut a hole in the tank (and a finger :dum: ). It's pretty tight, so the plane doesn't wobble in the mounting.

Love it, LOVE it!

Any ideas coming from Jennings re: Gripens????

I wouldn't mind seeing it in this scheme:

That's gorgeous I love desert camo schemes and that ones a treat. :)

I invite all and any criticism, except about Eric The Dog, it's not his fault he's stupid

Yes, you make me dream of a nice display: in those sand nice colours, a true Mirage III, a what-if Mirage 2000, your Gripen...

Great work Hatchet - that first photo sure makes her look as though she's going low and fast

Chris
Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

What a Hatchet job ! Very, very nice. Finish looks awesome for a brush painted kit, my regards !

Love the weapons load out as well. Would be a scary sight barreling across the desert floor, eh ?

Thanks for posting the Phantom scheme also...that's one beauty, that. Really like the look of the underside view, looks like a keeper for future reference !

Cheers,
