Maybe the RAF had better/more reliable engines than the J-47s and saw a quick way of adding to their nuclear bomber force?

They did, the Masters had Avons instead of J-47s, effectively giving them a 4th engine.

Its a bizarre looking aircraft which even IRL looked like ti was built out of a modellers left over parts and deranged imagination.

Thanks gentlemen, but those blasted outriggers have ALREADY broken!   

Again it's a case of too much scale fidelity, they should have been moulded twice the thickness and no-one would have noticed. Sadly SAC don't make any white metal replacements so I'll have to scratch up some new outrigger legs etc.

Wooooow Kit your perseverance surely paid off. That Martin Master is looking marvelous. I like that gunpack. Totally plausible.

I do have the same kit in the stash or a planned project and already learned from your build to replace the outriggers.

B-51 wing anhedral is 6°. Of course, as with wing sweep, that's measured
at centreline of the aircraft, not the side of the fuselage.

Another winner, and a reward after a long fight! 

And this, ladies and gentlemen, shows the effectiveness of camouflage. When it first came up on my screen, I thought that the starboard horizontal stabiliser was missing. The lines blended and disrupted and confuzzled me for a moment, which is about how much time you might get to see your opponent/target in a scrap.
