Well, I got good news and I've got bad news.
The JIM deep diving hardsuit is done. It's slightly bigger than I wanted, but it couldn't be helped. Actually, JIM suits are supposed to be big. They weigh at least 1,000 lbs and are designed to work at very deep depths.
The shark cage is done. Not the greatest, but it'll have to do.
Added another yellow crane amidships. So now I've got a large and small cranes on the port side of the ship, and also a large and small cranes on the starboard side.
And now the bad news........... :banghead:
The Flying Sub in front of the ship that was displayed came loose from the base and fell on the floor. One of the rear vertical fins broke off. Try as hard as I did, I couldn't find the piece that broke off on the floor. So now I have to wait until tax refund time to order a new Flying Sub.  :banghead:

Modeling isn't just about how good the gluing or painting, etc. looks. It's also about how creative and imaginative you can be with a subject.
My modeling philosophy is: Don't build what everyone else has done. Build instead what nobody has seen or done before.

Why not scratch up a new fin for the Flying Sub? It'd only need a small piece of 10 or 5 thou styrene.
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

My thinking exactly.

If you're worried about making it match, just take the other one off as well, and redo both. Job done!

All done! I did the best I could for the fin on the Flying Sub. It's not perfect, but it'll have to do.

The whole ship display? Or just the fix on the Flying Sub?

Anyway, the whole thing's done.
Now if I can only get it to a future contest without Dirk, Rudy, or Al gumming up the works so to speak and/or "doing a Panama" with it.  ;D

It looks great!

Lots of "interest" for people to pore over at a show or on-display.
