Not exactly a whif, but I hope crazy enough
« on: August 06, 2020, 02:56:24 pm »
Well, what can I say... I found myself back to trains...
I had built, more than 20 years ago, a showcase and started a multi-level track system, not yet a layout, that should cover all the room (actually a mezzanine), going around some stairs with mobile tracks.

Trying to clean up and make some order in the mezzanine, I got unwillingly pushed back to working on the tracks.
So, I am continuing with the upper level, have nearly completed  the descending circuit.

To pass over the open part of the mezzanine, I had to use some high scaffolding. I hope my loco drivers won't suffer from dizziness as the track run about 350 scale metres high.  ;D

I have also cleaned and redone one side of the main level.

Work is moving ahead, I am enjoying woodworking a lot.  ;D
Owing to the current financial difficulties, the light at the end of the tunnel will be turned off until further notice.

Do you live in an old church or school? You have lots of space in there!

No, it's the NORMAL scale and gauge: H0.

I had the luck of inheriting LOONG ago an old house, with reasonable dimensions. Of course, this is the hobby part, the living zone is somewhat more civilized. <_<

One of my neighbours has a OO or HO gauge track running round his kitchen and dining room walls on a narrow shelf just above the height of the window and door lintels.
I've never seen it working though.

I've got my part-built HO gauge American logging track on a shelf in what's laughingly called 'The Office' and it runs along one wall, round the corner via the top of the (non-functional) fireplace and along the next wall too.

Well it would run if I could get to it, but there's lots of 'stuff' in the way at the moment. Plus there's no scenery.................yet...........
