Lassault Sirage F.11 (finished page 2)
« on: May 14, 2020, 07:41:57 am »
I have enjoyed PR19_Kit’s naval Mirage F.1P (https://www.whatifmodellers.com/index.php?topic=47613.105 ) so when I bought a new 1/144th jet model, I chose the Dassault Mirage F.1 (Revell). « Of course », mine (to read Lasso Cirage, meaning in French Loop-of-rope Shoe-polish) will be different : low wing, short length with fin just after the cockpit, either canard foreplanes or T-tail tailplanes… :unsure: ;D

Yes, my Sirage will look like a Lippisch flying wing <_< , maybe. While… I don't think Serge Dassault is related to the Mirage F1 (first flight in 1966): he was manager of the Electronics department of Dassault between 1963 and 1987. :unsure:

I will probably not buy a special paint, this was just a word game instead of Mirage. Probably it will be matt light blue as usual, with the paint I have. Sorry.

The first drops of glue (and cutting the fin out) made a first step:

The butcher will operate soon after the glue is dried.

The butcher came, destroyed the tail, then I added putty to cure the poor bird: :unsure: <_<

Thanks!

The first sanding is done, then the second putty addition has been put on. PSR is not fun, but the fun will come later I hope. <_<;

(This will be a T-tail plane at last, not room enough for the canard foreplanes, from where I cut the tail)

Sexy. Lokks like something from a French/Belgian comic book from the Seventies or Eighties?
