As I was buying toys for my son yesterday, I bought for myself a Heller 1/72 model kit: Caudron CR-174.
My plan is to turn it asymmetric and/or pusher and/or twin-boom without gun nor military colours (this is what-if joke/toy, not like the real machine) ;)

Fond memories.

I built that lovely kit a long time ago, and I was amazed how small it was! And they used it as a FIGHTER!  :o
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

Regards
Kit

I've always like the look of these and i'm sure you'll do good with it.

- Can't be bothered to do the proper research and get it right.

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed and badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry from zenrat industries.

Thanks!
I already made one (or two into one zwilling): C-7114 at https://www.whatifmodellers.com//index.php/topic,6671.15.html
but the new one will be different, from a single kit. ;)

It wasn't much good as fighter. A civilian version will be much better.

It is a lovely old kit, isn't it  The Italian's had a couple of very similar designs. You can imagine them in pre-War touring colours
Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

Thanks for your interest in this model source.
I began gluing, with nothing special, but someone rung the bell at the door, maybe it is the butcher of the neighbourhood, you will see tomorrow...

Caudron's attempt to turn their race-plane types into a fighter.

Like the German's they also used ringers, like designating a pure
speed machine as the C.714R, the aircraft was not a C.714 variant.

Tophe

You are right Jon, while: a speed machine is faster with 2 engines rather than 1: ;)

Here is the wreckage that the butcher left behind...: :-\

But I will try to build "like an aircraft" from this. <_<
