Even WITHOUT the tracks it looks lethal!  :o
Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage

And tracks are on.
Nothing more to do except some silver paint on the lights and maybe some weathering power to dirty it up.

T-80 AEV PDRV Republican Guard.

T-80 AEV - 18 of 21 by Fred Maillardet, on Flickr

The Assault Engineer Vehicle was a specialist adaptation of the T-80 Main Battle Tank used exclusively by the Combat Engineers of the PDRV Republican Guard.
It's purpose was to assault and breach fortified defensive positions such as the Trumble Line along the PDRV/Great Eastern Australia border and the Hanson Line further North.

T-80ís were retrofitted to AEV specs by Pask Heavy Engineering.  This work involved replacing the main gun, additional armour and upgraded NBC protections.
The replacement gun was a breech loading 280mm mortar.  Capable of firing a wide range of munitions including white phosphorus, anti personnel air burst, rocket boosted penetration and nuclear demolition charges.

1/48 Kitech T-80U
Barrel & additional armour from evergreen
Painted with Vallejo acrylics
Decals from the stash

Obviously as soon as I had finished the pics I realised I had forgotten to attach the pair of aerials I had made.

And here's me thinking the PDRV was a Nuclear Free Zone! :o

Curse that PDRV state-owned media & its Professional Propaganda Apparatchiks!

Nice little build, by the way!

The local equivalent of.

Churchill AVRE petard mortars were 290mm.  I would have made mine the same if I had bothered to look it up.
