And I thought the injection ones were expensive!  :o

They'll undoubtedly have lots of VERY small parts, very few of which can be held by human fingers, and maybe many alternative parts as well, none of which will be any use for any other project.................
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

I do think some manufacturers over-engineer kits just because they can.

100% with on that Dave, specially after building that PR1(C).

I think you'll find the bulk of the kit is injected. The pilot figure and other smaller ? parts are 3D printed ? And no in that case I've no idea why it's so expensive.. Probably find the internals, exhausts and wheels are 3D printed ?
