Jimmy Flintstone 1/25 Goldenrod LSR car.

Goldenrod.  For when one Hemi just isn't enough...
This would look good next to a Revell Challenger One.

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed and badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry from zenrat industries.

I don't think any of the majors ever moulded Goldenrod, did they? It's a pity, it would have been awesome model, and an equally awesome sized box too!  :o

IIRC Goldenrod held the piston engined world car speed record for over 40 years!  :o

I saw it in the Ford Museum in Detroit just before I retired, one AWESOME machine.

For the first time in over a year I bought another kit!  :o

It's the Airfix Swift FR5 and what a beauty it is too. Mind you, it could do with longer wings.............  ;)

1/24 Profil24 Irving-Napier Golden Arrow, (1) 930hp Napier Lion W12, 231.56 mph, March 29, 1929.
1/25 Jimmy Flinstone Goldenrod, (4) Chrysler Hemi, total 2,400hp, 409.277 mph, November 12, 1965.

1/24 Monogram Chaparral for comparison.

Are you sure about the date for the Golden Arrow as 1979 looks to be a little bit out

Without wheels & sponsons (pontoons?) the Golden Arrow looks like it's from an anime.

The other way around, I'd say. Many of the Vanship designs from Last Exile were inspired by LSR vehicles from the Thirties, like the Stutz Blackhawk or the Thunderbolt. Awesome creations.

Another Dragon 1/200 XB-49 "cheap" from the old Alders store. This one will be the still ultra secret Vengence S.R.4

Not so much stash growth as stash storage growth.  Down to IKEA Bristol yesterday to get cheap shelving units for the garage......now erected, they should help to declutter the house let Rheged minor and I see just what we have got. Lots of space, so if the imperial treasury permits, there may even be stash growth to fill the spaces.....unless Madame gets there first with her stuff.

I couldn't resist :
while looking for another kit, I stumbled upon a seller whoa also had Hasegawa's Alf with a catapult :
I already have that catapult from the Alf and painted it blue,
and another one coming with Hasegawa's jake, painted red,
so now I just had to have one more to paint it yellow ...

Resistance is futile.

Yep, and I have the Chris Etzell (re-released by American Racing Miniatures) 1/25 Miller-Lockhart V-16 powered (two Miller 91cu-in
straight 8 on a common crancase) 'Stutz-Blackhawk' (which really had nothing to do with Stutz cars aside from sponsorship $$ and a
rear end.) It's tiny in comparison to the Golden Arrow:thumbsup:

I have some old solid model drawings of Eyston's Thunderbolt in it's early 'big mouth' and tall tail-fin form, but I wish
someone would do a 1/24 or 1/25 model of it in its record configuration, streamlined ice tank up front and no tail fin. Ditto
the Cobb 'Railston Special, though I'll probably have to bite the bullet and scratchbuild it, I do have a good set of drawings
for that shiny ali flying saucer.  ;D
