Hi all, I was just wondering if anyone had some nobbley off roady type tyres that are approximately 25mm in diameter?  ;D will accept any reasonable charge/exchange
Thanks for looking

I had to make a superhero car for my son's homework project.......i went to the pound shop and got some jcb type vehicles and pulled the wheels off......a reasonable choice of vehicles...........should be relevant for a cobbled together apocalyptic vehicle based on a WW2 fighter from a museum........ ;)

I'm still interested in making a trade BTW, just in case I can't find any suitable JCB type things that are cheap enough. I'm after like AFV tyres or maybe even some of the undercarriage from a lanc or something. Thanks again  ;D

Doesn't have to be a JCB though, there's loads of farm equipment type vehicles in 1/87 scale at the toy store. I think you can even get spare parts for them.
If I'm not building models, I'm out riding my dirtbike

But I want it to be cheap and nasty so I don't feel guilty for tearing it apart

Brilliant thanks, 25mm diameter  would be great, maybe a little more, but not less thanks, doesn't really matter about width mes thinks  ;D

Is 25mm the outside diameter of the tyre?
That's a bit small for most 1/25 car tyres but I might have some from a Tamiya mini which would be close to that size.  They won't be dirt tyres though.  Want me to have a rummage?

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed and badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry from zenrat industries.

OK, i've had a rummage.

Zenrat Industries can let you have four Tamiya 1/24 Mini Cooper rally tyres on minilite rims.  These have an outside diameter of 20mm, are moulded from rubber and while they are not what you'd call knobbly they do have a chunky tread.

As you did say 25mm I also had a dig through one of the parts boxes with "tyres" scrawled on the end and found some AMT 1/25 Goodyear Rally GT tyres.  Again, not knobbly but do have a chunky tread.  I have two at 28mm diameter with deep dish solid "centreline" type wheels and a narrower pair at 25mm diameter with steel wheels (no hub caps, good lug nut details).

I did take pics but they were on my phone and are crap and show no detail.

You can have either set if you want them.  Just let me know which one and your address and i'll stick them in the post.

Cheers Zenrat  ;D  please could I have a look at the crappy phone pictures of the 25 and 28mm's anyways? Thanking you muchly  would you like a trade of some description?

Here you go.

The rims in the smaller tyres are chromed but that will strip off real easy in some caustic soda solution.
I'll also include wheel backs which are the best fit I could find in my collection.  They'll need a touch of modifying to fit whatever axles you are using but that's all part of modelling right?

There is nothing I need at the moment so you could just pay it forward when you get the chance.
