Yeah, the Beeb CONSTANTLY got it wrong on the morning news, talking about '.......18 Hurricanes and 6 Spitfires....'. I'm not even sure there ARE than many Hurricanes still left, certainly there aren't that many flyable ones anywhere.

Loved that shot with FOUR Hurris in formation, that even beat my personal record of seeing three together at RIAT this year.

I assumed it was Ms Minchin getting her words muddled but on Ceefax it was word for word as she'd spoken. A couple of commercial stations used exactly the same wording so can we speculate that some daft so and so at the Min of Defence or even RAF got it wrong. Probably just a typo but does anybody check their stuff now before publishing ?  So sad

They just don't seem to have anyone on hand with some expertise.
