BBC offerings.......I watched without sound (computer glitch)  but worth a few moments of your time

That second link is the same as the first one, about the Swordfish.

But the link is superb, wonderful sequence, especially the matelots starting her up!  :thumbsup:

One of my Field Engineers was Crew Chief on the other Swordfish, LS326, when it was the mainstay of the FAA Historic Flight and he reckoned you needed a BIG breakfast before cranking up that engine. He was the guy who sat in the rear cockpit and raised the White Ensign when they did a flypast, and until Their Lordships saw fit to bolt a bracket to the cockpit coaming he had to hold the flag up all on his own!  :o
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

Sorry to say this, but it 404s now. Or at least it does on my system.
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

ironically the Spitfire & Hurricane flew over the T20 cricket match at Kent yesterday so did see them in passing on TV  ;D

For a moment, looking at the opening shot, I though there was a flyable WWII era Typhoon around somewhere until I realised it was a Hurricane!

Sadly my friend Doug, who spent much of WWII in a Japanese POW camp, and suffered mightily as a result, didn't make the parade as he died a while ago. He'd have really appreciated all the efforts they made I'm sure.
