WW2 Panther tank seized from pensioner's cellar

Not only the Panther, but what looks like an 88

And then there's this quote from the Mayor-
QuoteIt seems the tank's presence wasn't much of a secret locally. Several German media reports mention that residents had seen the man driving it around town about 30 years ago. "He was chugging around in it during the snow catastrophe in 1978," Mayor Alexander Orth was quoted as saying. But he later added: "I took this to be the eccentricity of an old man, but it looks like there's more to it than that."

saw that report. That Panther will be worth its weight in gold on the vintage military vehicle market, even more so if its still a runner.
I always hope for the best.
Unfortunately,
experience has taught me to expect the worst.

Size (of the stash) matters.

Love it!

If you go to the German paper's site linked from the Beeb page there's a short video of a MONSTER ARV, presumably a Leopard variant, fighting its way down the guy's drive to haul the Panther out.
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)
