Something `whif` from my 4 year old

Had a quiet day today due to a rather large hangover from last night, (but that`s another story...), when my 4 year old once again said he wanted to build a plane from my spares box.

He had recently been reading through an Air Forces Monthly mag and came across a picture of a Predator UAV and asked me what it was. Now being that you sometimes need to simplify things so young ears can understand, I simply replied that it was a bit like a robot.

He obviously retained that notion because as we opened up the spares box, his first words were pretty much, I want a robot plane.

Now to be safe and make sure we didn`t end up in casualty I will freely admit that the use of super glue and filler was all my doing. However he directed where he wanted bits to go. He chose the spray paint colour and knew exactly which air force he wanted. (I added the serial).

So with no further ado, here`s the finished product......., and it does kinda remind me of those early test flight vehicles from the 50`s and 60`s.

Now the model is made up of 5 different aircraft kits. (Nose, fuselage, wings, burner can and tail)

See if you can guess which?

EE Lightening F1 tail, F-14 engine exhaust and wings possibly from a Mig 21?

Well done guys, between you 4 out of 5.

An `under 10`s` whiffie category would be a good idea....., but how many members sons or daughter make models that are whif`s and fall within the age limit?

Ah, I wondered why those cut outs near the wing roots looked familiar!
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)
