Hey, all - I'm in a bit of a dilemma. I've got some weapons and ordnance to mount onto an MER, and I need some sway braces to do so. Unfortunately, I seem to have lost, misplaced, or accidentally thrown away all of mine. Does anyone know where I can get hold of some more, preferably for cheap?

I need at least 24 of them, two per bomb on two 6-place MER's...

Thanks in advance!

Hi,

Think I can help you out... I got 24 swaybraces from an 1/48 Trumpeter F-100 D left over as I'm not building 1/48.

Drill a wee hole, slide a pin in, glue in place, and then cut the rest of the pin off once it sets

That is normally what I do to secure ordnance on my models anyway, but with the particular design of these MER's, you need a 'something' to go between the upper surface of the weapon and the side of the MER - the pin would show bare inbetween, and it'd look pretty messy. Thanks for the suggestion though!

OK, PM me your adress etc. etc. Did I mention I'm in Holland??

silverwindblade

You did not, but that's not a huge problem for me, I don't need them soon or anything. And I'd be happy to throw some money or see if I've got anything I can give you in return. PM inbound shortly. Thanks again

Shipping such a small part shouldn't be an issue as long as it's in a standard envelope. That's about the only solace in the outrageous world of hipping anymore....an actual letter can still be sent for under a buck.
